About AUTHENTIC learning

I believe that education is the key to unlocking a world of opportunities for children. 

After 23 years of headship, I remain passionate about shaping the lives of children. Throughout my career, I have led, shaped, and empowered others to develop real and authentic learning for children. I have also worked beyond my schools, leading CRE8, a group of 8 schools focused on innovative learning. My contributions include publishing a curriculum, writing articles, giving keynote talks, and working with HMIs and Ofsted inspectors.

In July 2023, my school achieved a Gold Award for Raising Attainment through Wellbeing. I have extensive experience in developing authentic children's voices and global citizenship. Having previously achieved a Gold Rights Respecting Award, I am now working with Cornwall Council and UNICEF to support schools to develop a Rights Respecting culture that places children’s voice at the heart of the school..
